About Draufsicht
Also known as Beyond the Horizon Association (BeHA)
is a non-profit organization with the aim of promoting global learning through youths from diverse backgrounds and consolidating diversity and efforts towards social change and community-based development. Through our work, we aim to contribute to a more inclusive and informed global community.
Draufsicht promotes global education by engaging youths, journalists, community leaders, and the community to promote global connections. It is committed to upholding the values of youth participation in social change, and local and international policies. To attain this, we are leveraging our local efforts to address critical social issues and capacity building.

I have worked with Draufsicht for about four years now. I must say as a Development Communicator and Journalist, my skills have upgraded with new dynamics like peace journalism, mental well-being in conflict zones, etc thanks to Draufsicht. This has helped me stay relevant within a very volatile context and helps me stay neutral within the conflict context. I have also expanded my networking skills since working with Draufsicht. I have had the opportunity to meet and share working experiences with colleagues on a wide range of themes. I have understood the impact that the spread of unfiltered information and gory images can create in the minds of the population and society at large. Also, engagement with Draufsicht has exposed me to solution-oriented storytelling.

Intern/Draufsicht volunteer and Journalist. The time I have spent with Draufsicht has been wonderful. If I'm a better community journalist today, it's thanks to Draufsicht. My reporting style has also evolved - I now focus more on telling the stories of our communities, which was not something I did as much before joining Draufsicht. In one of our meetings, I learned how to stay safe in a crisis zone while continuing my work as a community reporter. I also try to avoid using hurtful language, which is another skill I gained from my time at Draufsicht. The benefits I've received are numerous.
However, one thing I was not able to gain was the ability to effectively use videos to tell stories. Nonetheless, I have no regrets about my time with Draufsicht.

Draufsicht is a youth-led organization headed by Dzebam Godlove who holds an International Masters in Quality Education in Developing countries from the University of Bamberg-Germany. He believes in social change, “Glocalisation”, as well as “Glocation” (global education) and reflections on the Transformative Learning Journey as a tool.

just completed his second degree at the Protestant Institute of Arts and Social Science (PIASS) Rwanda with the Bachelor's Degree of Development studies with Honors in Peace Building and Development. Jato has had the opportunity to participate in an exchange program in Japan at Tokyo University of Foreign Studies. As a Program Officer at Draufsicht, he drives initiatives that promote global learning, ensuring accessible, high-quality learning for all through strategic planning and program management.
